Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer sat down with Fox News Bill OReilly and opined that Newt Gingrich won last nights debate in fact, he won big. Krauthammer criticized Mitt Romneys mediocre debate performance and was incredulous at how the former Massachusetts Governor wasnt prepared for a question on his tax returns. How could he not have prepared a nice short succinct humane answer about what he did at Bain? Krauthammer perplexedly exclaimed. He didnt really have that he kind of stumbled around.

OReilly wondered why Romney was apprehensive to explain his capital gains tax policies. I dont know what they are afraid of, I think they are intimidated by the press, OReilly observed quizzically. I really think the press intimidates Romney and some of the others.
I dont know if its the press, Krauthammer replied. But he simply doesnt have the capacity to explain with some color and sort of force conservative ideas. He is a businessman. he, you know, he looks like he is chairing a meeting of the board
.Why didnt he say in the debate last night: Look, when the Democrats, the ones who supposedly are the ones who are the champion of the Middle Class or Working Class took control of GM and Chrysler, hundreds, thousands of people lost their jobs, dealerships were shut down, the Pontiac and other lines were shut down. You have to do it to save the company to enable it to survive and then to grow it as it is now beginning to grow and restore the jobs.

That’s her.
Now you surely know that GOTO was outlawed by the programming police. Just not good practice they told us back in the good old days. But of course we used it anyway, at least until the BASIC guys had the decency to add subroutines to the language.
Krauthammer claims to be analyzing and not covertly cheerleading via his analysis.
The argument against his protestation is his statement that Santorum’s weakness is his 18 point loss in a Senate race.
Krauthammer is smart and well-read. He knows that Romney lost a senate race by the same margin. He also knows that Romney never won any senate race at any time. Santorum, on the other hand, won 2 senate races and 2 House races in very blue Pennsylvania prior to that single lost race.
Krauthammer never mentioned Romney’s shellacking or Santorum’s many victories.
All of the above make suspect Krauthammer’s claim to be an innocent bystanding analyst.
At this point, Newt is correct. Santorum and Perry should take a hit for the team and step out endorsing Gingrich.
Yeah, kraut, it's because he doesn't believe in them, and it shows. It's not being cowed by the media or whatnot -- he can't make the conservative case because he's not that gifted of an actor.
Why does it take so long for the so-called intellectuals to see what the rest of us have known all along?
Thanks for your comment. BTW, the quotation from the Czech Republic article on your “About” page is fantastic and should be used often this year.
