Funny we hear more about the handfull of losers than the winners Bain was involved with like Clear Channel, Sports Authority, Staples and Dominoes. Interesting how that works.
This keeps coming up. First it was a liberal talking point against Romney, then Huckabee brought it up again in ‘08.
Romney may have cashed out of Bain before the investment.
For the record I don’t think Rush is a Mitt supporter. He may be more into Gingrich.
2008
>>Speaking at a news conference in Oklahoma, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee floated the idea that the reason the vast majority of America’s conservative talk radio hosts aren’t endorsing him or John McCain is because Mitt Romney’s investment firm owns a significant share of Clear Channel Communications, the nation’s largest radio syndication company. “Some suggest that the fact that Bain Capital owns a major stake in Clear Channel is on Sean’s network, maybe there’s a correlation. I don’t know.”
The Sean he was referring to had to be none other than Sean Hannity, America’s number-two talk radio host behind Rush Limbaugh.

Then please explain why Rush is on the air, as we speak, giving Newt a big sloppy wet kiss.

A further excerpt from the above:
“Huckabee’s allegation is also ludicrous because it assumes that Clear Channel somehow owns the entire talk radio market. That is far from the case as you can see in this chart listing the top talk show hosts. Many of the talkers listed, such as Michael Savage, Laura Ingraham, Neal Boortz, Mike Gallagher, and Mark Levin have no connection to Clear Channel. The charge is also false because it proceeds from the same mindset that believes that because most American media outlets are owned by large corporations, this magically makes them conservative since, of course, all businesses are conservative. Editorial independence? Forget about it. Mike Huckabee should know better than to forward this nonsensical line of thought. Here’s hoping he apologizes for his mistake.”
I don’t know about the other guys, I believe that Rush IS HIS OWN MAN.
Indeed, I just heard him doing so. So much for Clear
Channel brainwashing us into electing Mitt.
You are very entertaining!
Explains a lot about Rush’s wishy washy-ness lately...
If you’re going to advance this argument, then tell the whole story and let everyone know how much interest Romney has in Bain now, and how much he benefited. Bear in mind that he left Bain Capital in 1999 and that Bain invested in Clear Channel in 2008.
Just bring data and prove it means anything and you might have a point.
Sohhh, now you are toting the success of Bain investments?
Newt Gingrich for President.
Maybe because some of the successes are in spite of, rather than the result of, Bain involvement. Honestly. Read up. How much credit can you take for plunking down 10% seed cash for Staples. And taking ANY credit for Sport Authority is ROTFL hilarious.
Hannity pimps for Romney/Coulter/Rove DAILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone posts the uneducated BS everyday, or was it you that posted it yesterday as well. Take the tin foil hat off, the cell phone under it is frying your brain. Just like a microwave.
Maybe he sees the light......finally...!
This attack on Bain Capital is beyond evil and typical of something BHO or OWS or Michael Moore would engage in. Attack Romney all you want. There is no shortage of ammo: abortion, guns, taxes, Romneycare, etc. It’s all perfectly legitimate. But these attacks on Bain Capital and the work he did there are truly vile and disgusting.
