SC Debate: Romney Says He Will 'Probably' Release Taxes in April
KGO - ABC News Radio - San Francisco | January 17, 2012

(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) -- Amid continued pressure from his rivals to make public his tax returns, Mitt Romney said at a Republican presidential candidates debate Monday night that he will "probably" release that information in April.

That timetable is in line with tradition of past nominees, who have released their information around tax day in early April.

"I have nothing in them that suggests there is any problem," he said. "I'm happy to do so."

Romney had said as recently as last Wednesday that he doesn't feel the need to do anything more than the law requires him to do, which is reveal his assets.

Rick Perry took the lead in assailing the former Massachusetts governor, accusing him of dodging the question of tax records and called on him to release them before a nominee is decided.

"My income tax have been out every year. Newt [Gingrich], I think you will let your income tax come out Thursday. And Mitt, we need for you to release your income tax so the people of this country can see how you made your money," the Texas governor said. "Here's the real issue for us as Republicans. We cannot fire our nominee in September. We need to know now."

Romney absolutely bombed last night. He was at his worst ever.

I have been very critical of Newt throughout - never backing him.

But last night he changed my mind. He would absolutely go nuclear on Obama in a general election. Not just in the 2-3 debates. But in daily stumps, interviews, etc.

The Food Stamps president line would have the libtards heads exploding.

As a longtime Perry supporter, it’s time for him to drop out and back Newt. And if Santorum fails in SC, he should end it before FL. Then it’d be Newt one on one against Romney in FL and going forward to Super Tuesday.

Stop the Romney train wreck!

Ole Mitt was himself last night.....never really answering any question with a yes or no answer.......“How can he breath when he speaks so fast and long that his sentences reach a 1,000 words in a single breath. He is an absolute “motor mouth.”

Perhaps he doesn't want the leaders of Mormon inc. in Salt Lake City to know that he fudged on paying the mandatory tithe?

I think you may be on the right track there.

2 Utah companies donate $1 million apiece to Romney PAC

Mitt Romney's Biggest Backers: Pyramid Schemers? - NuSkin - ...."But what the Post missed is that unlike the Wall Street financial whizzes Romney is usually associated with, Nu Skin is what's known as a multilevel marketing firm. It supposedly sells vitamins and skin care products (the Post called Lund the "luxury cosmetics king"). But virtually none of its revenue comes from selling anything. Instead, its money comes from recruiting a never-ending stream of new distributors who are the primary buyers of the company's products and who pay to attend seminars in the hopes of making big bucks. Of course, most of the people who take the plunge lose money rather than earning it. As a result, Nu Skin has a long and troubled history with regulators dating back to the early 1990s, when several states were investigating the company for operating a pyramid scheme."......

Don’t worry CW, Rush will clear this up on his show today, right after he runs all the great clips of Newt in the the debate (right on, right on).

Newt, Santorum, Perry all are OK with me, in any combination.

however, I would lean toward Newt in the Oval Office——Perry as Vo—with a mission given to Perry to consolidate government agencies & clean out the deadwood, double duties, etc. I would alsk tell Perry to clean out all the CZARS that have become entrenched under Barry the Imposter.

Then I would like to see Santorum as Sec of State or Defense.

Once I thought Mitt would be a good Sec of Commerce, but I find now that his ‘business’ experience isn’t as clean cut as he would have us believe. There is a great difference between ‘running a business’ —— Being a ‘venture capitalist’ -— & being a ‘corporate raider/vulture capitalist’.

I now wish for Mitt to go back to Mass & hide. He has more positions on each topic than a Hollywood Blvd hooker finding a John with a fat bankroll.

Perry would make a splendid Secretary of Defense given his military background. He looks like the type of guy the troops would rally behind.

Santorum is perfect for V.P. He looks like the junior partner and can be groomed for 2020.

Sarah Palin...Secretary of Energy. Drill, baby, drill, here and now.

Huntsman can open a Chinese restaurant on K Street and deliver food by bicycle to the administration.

Mitt has more positions than the Kama Sutra. He needs to go back to Taxachusetts and take up windsurfing with John Kerry.

Ron Paul needs to take up residency in a Waco compound, prepare the Kool-Aid and assemble his followers to wait for the next passing of Halley’s Comet.

That’s funny, Ron Paul supporters also pay a lot of money and never get anything in return, unless you count his racist newsletter. Maybe someone can sic the federal regulators on him.
