Welcome to my list, I will never drink Absolute Vodka again.

Walter Cronkite
• Anchor and Managing Editor of CBS Evening News, 1962-1981
• Swayed outcome of the Vietnam War in 1968 by declaring it “unwinnable”

After retiring, he advocated many liberal-left causes, including a single world government and the end of U.S. veto power in the United Nations

• Fonda Demands Higher Taxes on Rich
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^ | 17 Dec 2011 | John Semmens
Left-wing crank Jane Fonda lent her support to President Obama’s “tax-the-rich” mantra by recounting that “all the rich people I know favor higher taxes.” Fonda disdained the option of voluntarily paying more. “Sure, we could freely hand over more money if we wanted to,” she admitted. “There’s nothing stopping us from giving the government more of what we have. The problem with that, though, is that the volition would still be in the hands of the individual. People could still opt not to give.” “What this country needs is a collective redistribution of wealth,” Fonda continued.
• Actress Confronts Sean Penn Over His Support for Chavez: ‘You Are a Communist A**Hole!’
The Blaze ^ | Dec. 19, 2011 | Tiffany Gabbay
Cuban-born, Venezuelan-raised actress Maria Conchita Alonso and actor Sean Penn had a contentious exchange at Los Angeles International airport recently, in which Alonso called Penn a “communist a**hole“ and Penn called Alonso a ”pig.” Over a year and a half after Alonso penned an open letter to Penn asking him why he supports socialist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the two met up serendipitously (or not so) at LAX while both were waiting to claim lost luggage. Alonso, who starred alongside Penn in the 1988 film “Colors,” described the exchange to Steve Malzberg on WMAL. “I go

BREAKING: American Airlines Releases Statement: Alec Baldwin Rude to Crew, Used ‘Offensive Language’ *UPDATED* by John Nolte **UPDATE: “He was beating the walls of the lavatory to the point that the captain called us to see what that was about. They heard it in the cockpit,” said one crew member on the JFK-bound flight who had to deal with the “30 Rock” actor. “He was asked five times. Everybody is the same. Everyone has to follow the rules, it doesn’t matter who you are,” the employee told The Post. “He was violent, abusive and aggressive.” Though they originally declined to...
• Miley Cyrus, Occupier Poster Girl
Townhall.com ^ | December 2, 2011 | Michelle Malkin
She’s perfect. Miley Cyrus, Hollywood’s perpetually half-dressed wild child with an insatiable appetite for attention, jumped in front of the Occupy Wall Street bandwagon this week. The young Disney mogul unveiled a YouTube anthem hailing the aimless, anti-capitalist protesters. Smells like opportunistic teen queen spirit. Like so much of the warmed-over, Big Labor-underwritten Occupy movement, Miley’s musical tribute to its foot soldiers is a worn-out derivative remix. She took “Liberty Walk,” a year-old single; spliced in video footage of union marchers carrying carbon-copy “TAKE BACK OUR DEMOCRACY” signs; tossed in random scenes of global discontent from London to China to...
• Texas students refusal to say Mexican pledge, national anthem starts controversy
KHOU ^ | Nov 22 | Brad Watson
RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas - Every day students in Texas public schools pledge allegiance to the flags of the United States and Texas. But when a teacher in a Rio Grande Valley high school assigned students to stand and pledge allegiance to the Mexican flag and sing Mexico’s national anthem, one student refused. The resulting controversy has one East Texas lawmaker wanting changes in the state’s curriculum on how culture and patriotism are taught in schools. 15-year-old Brenda Brinsdon entered her sophomore year at McAllen ISD’s Achieve Early College High School just wanting to do well in her classes.

• Professor Angry Over Packages for Troops, Calls them “Shameful”
Fox News ^ | 11/14/11 | Todd Starnes
A Suffolk University law professor has issued a blistering e-mail calling plans to collect care packages for U.S. troops “shameful.” Professor Michael Avery also questioned the intent of an American flag hanging in the law school’s atrium (snip)“I think it is shameful that it is perceived as legitimate to solicit in an academic institution for support for men and women who have gone overseas to kill other human beings,” Avery wrote in an e-mail to his colleagues. “The United States may well be the most war prone country in the history of civilization.”
• DOT makes workers take down flag

The surreal part of the article: About 30 minutes before Brandl ordered Old Glory removed from its elevated perch, Snyder said the bridge workers intended to take it down after the holiday weekend. But Brandl said safety could not wait. “It was not authorized, and we do not need the distraction,” he said, adding, “I can’t imagine who it would offend, but I do not want controversy.”

• Don’t display American Flag in American school.
volokh.com ^ | 11/10/11 | Eugene Volokh
Dariano v. Morgan Hill Unified School District (N.D. Cal.), decided the day before yesterday, upholds a California high school’s decision to forbid students from wearing American flag T-shirts on Cinco de Mayo. (See here and here for more on this case.) On Cinco de Mayo in 2009, a verbal exchange and altercation arose between a group of predominantly white and a group of Mexican students. This altercation involved an exchange of profanities and threats were made. A makeshift American flag was put on one of the trees on campus. A group of Caucasian students began clapping and chanting “USA” as...
• Alec Baldwin: Reagan Was a ‘Failed Actor’ Who Snubbed the Underprivileged
The Blaze ^ | Nov.7, 2011 | Billy Hallowell
Alec Baldwin isn’t afraid to let his anti-Republican ideals surface from time to time. On his new radio show (yes, he’s been given a show), “Here’s the Thing,” Baldwin decided to take some jabs at Ronald Reagan — a man who, like Baldwin, got his start in acting. Baldwin didn’t go easy on Reagan either. “He was a failed actor who in my business what happens is you become ripe and you fall from that tree and you go — and he went into this other field because it was a role for him to play,”
• Kentucky Soldier Faces Spying Allegations
WKRC ^ | 11/04/2011 | WKRC
A 22 year old soldier from Owensboro, Kentucky faces charges of spying. Specialist William Colton Millay is stationed in Alaska. U.S. Army and FBI investigators arrested Millay last Friday. Army Lieutenant Colonel Bill Coppernoll says Millay’s arrest stems from an ongoing investigation conducted by the Army and FBI. Coppernoll says few details are being released now, but adds that unlike the WikiLeaks case targeting Army analyst Bradley Manning, allegations do “not involve the transfer of data on computer networks.” His family has hired a defense attorney from Dallas who specializes in defending members of the military charged in crimes.
