Not as a benefit, but not as a waste either.
Don’t you get it?
The savings for CFLs based on the fact that they eliminate this heat byproduct.
The problem is, that this heat isn’t 100% waste. So therefore the savings is overstated by the difference between the efficiency of your heating system vs the light bulbs heat output for any season where you require heat in your home.
Is this sinking in yet?
We'll forgive your poor reading comprehension, but for clarity I will quote from the article, "But they ignore one important fact: The extra heat given off during the winter months can actually lower energy bills."
No Virginia, incandescent bulbs cannot and will not lower your energy bill. No matter what this article says.
Now if you want to argue that the article does not say that incandescent bulbs can actually lower the energy bill, I'm all ears.
click click click clack, the author is trying to make the point that it isn’t waste
It will lower your heating bill, you might not notice it because it is simply an off-set.
Are you dense or are you just trying to pretend you are?
Irony much?
think think think think.....I know you can
I agree...and that’s why I like mine.
See the beauty of freedom, there? Your friend picks the incandescent because it generates heat, and I like the CFL specifically because it doesn’t.
