Yes, that is exactly what Newt is, no one is denying that.

He was attempting to use the Gov't with the market to deal with the problem, unlike the Democrats who only want to use the Government.

So, again, the question is Newt or Romney?

RE :”So, again, the question is Newt or Romney?

As Gilb says many times, the fix is in for Romney. But in the process of fighting with him Newt is loading up Obama and democrats with as much leftist support ammunition as possible.

Example : Heard on CSPAN this morning that Obama is reviving his call for higher taxes on those ‘rich’ investors based on private equity firms obscene profits. Way to go Newt!
I am sure Democrats will work Newts recent quotes into their efforts to reverse the Citizen's United SCOTUS ruling, you know those third party ads, and for lots more government regulations to take on those greedy vulture investors.

I suppose in the end if Romney gets it and Newt helps Obama defeat him it's just as well anyway and in Obama's second term voters will really hate Democrats, but that doesn't make me want Newt as POTUS.
