He adopted the biological son of one of the siblings of the judge hearing his case, who was also a contributor to The Second Mile, whose fund-raiser was hosted by a major Penn State contributor, who was also a major contractor for Penn State, who was the Chairman of The Board for The Second Mile, which was founded by Sandusky, and for which the Penn State Nittany Lion served as the mascot . . . and to which Penn State sold land the same year as the unreported rape by one of its founders and active figureheads . . . to be developed under a grant signed by a governor who was on the Board of Penn State and was elected with donations by The Second Mill trustees during the time he was the state attorney general with an impaneled grand jury investigating Sandusky and The Second Mile, and had a fund-raiser hosted by The Second Mile chairman, who says he knew about the grand jury, which was questioning McQueary . . .

I need some help with this portion of your post. Could you fill in some of the names that are attached to these instances? I'm not doubting you, but I am confused about who is who. The adopted son you mention at the beginning is Matt Sandusky, correct, or is it a different one? That's where my confusion started in your paragraph, and after that I couldn't keep up with each next "who". TIA!

No. I hiccuped. I crossed Former Centre County District Attorney Michael Madeira (as opposed to Former Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar, who went missing on April 15, 2005) with Pennsylvania District Court Judge Leslie Dutchcot. Sandusky adopted the son of the sister of the DA.

So:

He adopted the biological son of one of the siblings of the judge [Leslie Dutchcot] hearing his case, who was also a contributor to The Second Mile, whose fund-raiser was hosted by a major Penn State contributor[Bob Poole], who was also a major [$25 million/year] contractor [Poole Anderson Construction] for Penn State, who was the Chairman of The Board for The Second Mile, which was founded by Sandusky, and for which the Penn State Nittany Lion served as the mascot . . . and to which Penn State sold land the same year as the unreported rape by one of its founders and active figureheads [ Sandusky], for $168K, having purchased it for $320K two years earlier, . . . to be developed under a grant signed by a governor [Corbett] who was on the Board of Penn State and was elected with $25K in donations by The Second Mile trustees [and 'thousands more' in donations from regional trustees, per PennLive.com's review of the Pennsylvania Department of State campaign contributions website] during the time he [Corbett] was the state attorney general with an impaneled grand jury investigating Sandusky and The Second Mile, and had a fund-raiser hosted by The Second Mile chairman [Poole], who says [in an email response to questions from PennLive.com - “to the best of my recollection, I first learned in 2008 or 2009 that authorities were investigating Mr. Sandusky"] he knew about the grand jury, which was questioning McQueary . . .

That's a tiny party of it. According to Penn State's Smeal School of Business, Bob Poole has a small relationship with Penn State other than the $25 million a year his business receives from PSU. Here's his Smeal School of Business bio:

He was named a Penn State Alumni Fellow in 2001 and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2006. He and his wife, Sandy, have funded the following endowments: The Robert and Sandra Poole Endowment for Excellence in Real Estate Studies, The Robert and Sandra Poole Schreyer Honors College Scholarship, The Robert and Sandra Poole Graduate Assistantship in the Libraries, and the Robert and Sandra Poole Faculty Fellowship in Business. Bob and Sandy also funded the Dean's Suite at the new Smeal College of Business Building. Bob is a member of the Mount Nittany Society. Mr. Poole is on the Executive Committee and Chairs the Leadership Gifts Program "For the Future Campaign" at Penn State. He also Chairs the Schreyer Honors College and is on the Board of Visitors for the Smeal College of Business at Penn State. He previously served on the Steering and Executive Committees of The Penn State Grand Destiny Campaign.
