I don’t think most people realize just how bad the schools are these days. The schools don’t even want kids to be able to learn on their own. That stands in the way of the ideological indoctrination required to create a society of dependent, compliant, robots.
I went to a public school myself but it was long enough ago that we still had teachers who were there because they loved teaching and seeing kids learn. These days, there isn’t a chance in hell that I would send a kid to my old school.

I am a public school teacher. I have classrooms full of 11th and 12th graders who can't read. Nationally, public education facilities have adopted a word memorization reading program and have dropped phonics. There are even cases where schools have sent home letters instructing parents not to teach their children phonics because it doesn't work. Unfortunately that is all a lie and Big Ed knows it. It's easier to control a stupid society.
