Now the latest announcement by Rossi is that the problem of refueling every six months or so by a technician has been solved or will be solvedThe most interesting part of this is that Rossi claims he "enriches" the Nickel "fuel" used in the E-Cat so that it has more of specific isotopes. He claims to be able to do this without any significant equipment, and for pennies a gram (otherwise he couldn't be offering a six-month "refill" for only $10 - $20). LINK
This process of isotope enrichment is the same process necessary to produce nuclear bombs. It is a major industrial process, which can strain the capabilities of entire nations. For example, Iran is currently working on this for their nuclear program. LINK
This process, if Rossi can really do it, is far more valuable than the E-Cat itself, and yet Rossi treats it as no big deal.
There is also the fact that the isotope analysis of the "fuel" and "ash" supposedly from a working E-Cat shows no sign of the isotope "enrichment" that Rossi describes, nor does it show any signs of any transmutation isotopes (only the isotopes found in natural Nickel, Iron and Copper).
Note that Kullander said that a detailed analysis of the Rossi E-Cat "fuel" and "ash" would be released by Christmas. LINK
We're still waiting.
Nothing is a big deal unless one can actually do it. The most important accomplishment so far is an attempt at name change from cold fusion to Rossi-Focardi Low Energy Nuclear Reaction to give an air of reality to the rabbit Rossi says is in the hat.
Every once in while Rossi announces something new about how the rabbit will be pulled from the hat, how big it will be, when it will happen, where it will happen, how much it will cost........But we never see the hare for the hype!
Excuse me....more valuable than controlled, easy to implement fusion reactions?? Sorry....no.
