Hi, I’m deployed in Afghanistan, RC-East, just my 2 cents...

These kind of incidents can lead to attacks that can kill troops in theatre. These kinds of incidents are unnecessary. Lack of discipline is neither cool nor professional.

I don’t think these Marines should get the book thrown at them, and I don’t think this is a “big” deal, something worthy of castigating the Marines or the military or the coalition war in general.

You shouldn’t piss on dead people regardless of how they lived and how they died, and you should be able to conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the uniform.

That’s all. It’s pretty basic, this shouldn’t get to political, etc etc etc, hopefully we’ll move on from this one pretty quick.

The Leftists whom piss on the Military will make sure this story sticks around.

Welcome to FR.

Sounds like you’re on the same page as Allen West: “The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.”

“hopefully we’ll move on from this one pretty quick.”

Hope the lib media doesn’t capitalize on it.

Thanx for your insight, and good post.

But maybe those in charge responsible for our military personnel being in Afghanistan, risking life and limb, should be more tolerant, and find out what happened to these men to make them so outraged, and obviously sad as well.
