Phil Sloan and Steve Barri handed some songs to Herman’s Hermits for their film, “Hold On”. This one is perfectly commercial.

Most don’t know that this next song was first recorded by Herman’s Hermits in “Hold On”. It’s the subject of a good bar bet on rock trivia. Everyone knows the Grass Roots version, however, because it was their first hit. It shows the Lou Adler touch; catch that harpsichord riff in the middle!
