As homosexual Army soldier Bradley Manning’s treason trial continues at Fort Meade, Maryland, the support he has received from Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has been curiously ignored by the major media, now touting Paul as someone who could win the January 3 Iowa Republican Caucuses. Paul has called Manning, a crossdresser with acknowledged mental problems, a “hero” and “patriot” for stealing government secrets and providing them to WikiLeaks.

I tend libertarian and vote Republican as the less bad choice. I draw the line well this side of treason, and think Bradley Manning should be hanged. I also cannot support NABLA, since children do not have the capacity to make informed decisions. I see government as a necessary evil, but since almost every other society on earth has chosen to organize themselves around a much worse government, I understand that one of the essential functions of government is national defense.

I have no problem with the 70% sensible positions that Paul takes on limited government, but his 30% devotion to totally insane lunatic stances disqualifies him for the White House. Treason is treason, and Manning should never, ever walk free again.
