The Post & Email has just learned that Lt. Col. Stefan Cook, about whose illness we reported yesterday, has passed away at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, FL at approximately 2:30 p.m. today of pancreatic cancer.
Cook, then a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves, had challenged Obamas constitutional eligibility to serve as president in July 2009 through Atty. Orly Taitz. After Taitz filed the lawsuit in Georgia, Cooks orders to deploy to Afghanistan were rescinded by the Army, a move which Taitz had hailed as a victory.
At the time the lawsuit was filed, Maj. Cook had expressed his concern that he might be carrying out illegal orders in the event that Obama was not constitutionally qualified to issue them. He had told WorldNetDaily, [Then] any order coming out of the presidency or his chain of command is illegal. Should I deploy, I would essentially be following an illegal [order]. If I happened to be captured by the enemy in a foreign land, I would not be privy to the Geneva Convention protections.

RIP Soldier. You’ve earned it.
Prayers up
Thank you for the thread, kristinn. I missed that he was so ill, and I'm still so stunned and saddened to hear of Stefan's passing. What a terrible, terrible loss. Stefan - Roaddog727 was the bravest of the brave, actively standing and fighting for truth, justice, God and country and damn the consequences. He won't be forgotten as the bright light he was in these days, now years, of darkness.
Prayers for his family and friends for comfort and healing in this terrible pain. They can be so proud.
Lord, hold him tenderly in Your loving arms. Keep watch, Stefan. Job well done .. rest in peace, brave warrior. Your honorable work here is done.
Heavenly Father, please hold this family in Your loving arms; meet their every need and help them to lean on You, Lord.
Thank You Father.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Love in Christ,
Meeky

:’( Thanks STARWISE for the ping.
Prayers for Lt. Col. Cook, may he Rest in Peace.
May he rest in peace, and his family be comforted by the life he led.
I’ll miss him.
Prayers for his family.
I'm reminded of what R.E. Lee said after the war to his former lieutenant, Gen. Wade Hampton.
I did only what my duty demanded; I could have taken no other course without dishonor. And if all were to be done over again, I should act in precisely the same manner.
Indeed and a FRiend I will have to meet later.
I remember this bro from way back —I had no idea that the refusnik was him.
He rocks..!!!
Go easy bro...I WON’T FORGET YOU....

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.
Or you can get raw with these strings.
How about this gamechanger from America's Got Talent (which they SHOULD have won).
And finally, this, dedicated to the one and only rdb2, whose eyes are growing dim.
Either way, the violin is sweet yet LETHAL.
Do it!
