If this is true, and if the bus was officially owned by the campaign and if this was coordinated in any way by the campaign, this is a federal crime under Title 18 of the US Election Code regarding interfering by means of intimidation with political campaigns.

I partiallly disagree. The question isn't whether it's a crime, rather whether the criminals were official paulistinians. It's a crime.
