The people NOT voting for Obama are the 2008 'independents' who forgot to change back to 'undeclared' after voting four years ago. So they show up Tuesday, only to find out they are still registered as Democrats. Since they were stuck with a Democrat ballot; they wrote in Paul and Huntsman. Unfortunately; votes are tabulated SEPARATELY by party...in other words, Paul's vote do NOT get added together...LOLOL!

Idiots.

That’s an interesting point. From a statistical perspective, it didn’t change the results. Of the Democrats voting for Republicans, Romney received 1808 (31%), Paul 2273 (39%), Huntsman 1228 (21%), Gingrich 275 (5%), Santorum 300 (5%) and Perry 17 (<1%).

For those that want to use these results to prove who is or isn’t most Republican, Perry is the clear “winner.” For those looking for electability (crossover appeal) Paul wins, but Romney made a very strong showing.

Personally, I don’t think it shows anything since the election results for this group showed that Paul is a bit more popular than Romney among Democrat leaning independents. The rest fell close to where they were on the Republican side.
