Maybe he didn't actually create them... perhaps he only saved 100,000 jobs. Maybe 100,000 "workers" just decided to drop out of the labor force.
And for the Gardasil "innocent little girls" Crowd," Romney holds Stock in Merck & Co.
Unless he’s including people who provided services to those in the financial industry, like hair stylists or coffee servers or convenience store clerks, I very much question Romney’s claim to have created 100,000 jobs.
Financial industries don’t really employee that many people, in comparison to most other industries and computerization has allowed these same industries to not have to employ as many people as they used to do.
In what way could he even meaningfully quantify that he “created 100,000 jobs”?
I think he’s taking credit for jobs filled by any company where Bain Capital had at some point interceded — but does he subtract jobs lost — and how much did he profit?
Is he afraid to say?
Obama is going to tell us.
Conservatives don’t object to capitalism and profit (despite what Rush and the rest want us to believe). Why are conservative leaders trying to give Mitt a pass while destroying conservative candidates?
Since Mitt is making this the centerpiece of his campaign -- the reason he says he has the right to be our nominee, it would be GREAT if RUSH WOULD POSE THAT QUESTION!
The most likely way, considering what Bain’s did was buy up failing companies, sell off their weak parts and recreate new companies from the rubble.
He would fire 100 percent of the work force of the old companies and rehire a small fraction of the fired employees.
In a nutshell, he woulf have fired perhaps 400,000 people and rehire 100,000 of them.
Hence, Romney hired 100,000 people.
Possibly that, or what I suggested on post 9.
Yes.
Figures don’t lie by liars can figure.
Rush isn’t going to pose any such questions. I read yesterday that Bain owns Clear Channel. If you’ve been wondering about your local talk radio station lately, this explains it. The libs own the media and now the most liberal republicans own talk radio.
lmao !!
That explains a lot.
Meanwhile John Bolton endorses Mitt Romney for President. John Bolton of all people! He is obviously deranged because he doesn’t agree with Sarah Palin.
“but does he subtract jobs lost “
Lean and mean. That’s what some of us hope he will do to the federal bureaucracy. Are you against laying off a bunch of dead weight in the federal government?
Hardly. Are you against Romney being vetted like Rick Perry?
Romney has been vetted as much as anyone can be vetted and this is all they can come up with . . . and some of us are surprised that so-called conservatives would fault him for getting rid of dead weight while trying to save a company - precisely what we would want him to do with the federal bureaucracy.
Hey RB, how is life in your neck of the woods?
