An Iranian university professor working at a key nuclear facility was killed in a car bomb attack yesterday.
The Iranian government of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad immediately blamed the assassination on Israel and the United States of America.
Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, 32, was the fourth Iranian scientist to be killed in similar attacks in Tehran in the past two years.
Witnesses said two men on a motorbike attached a small magnetic bomb to Mr Roshans Peugeot 405 in a busy street outside a university campus, speeding off before the blast, which killed him instantly. A pedestrian was also killed and another person in the car badly injured.

Ahmadi-Roshan authored a paper on polymer membranes that offer a gas diffusion alternative to centrifuges for uranium enrichment. Reports are that he headed up that effort.
Iran has been hinting at an announcement on a new enrichment scheme and this could be it.
Iran has had significant difficulties with their P-1 centrifuges crashing and have had minimal success with their P-2’s.

Some Americans such as the M4 Sherman tank seen below just applied wood planks to the sides of their tanks to combat magnetically attached mines.

Dunno, Mahmoud.
You pissed away so much of Iran’s money on this stupid nuke project that maybe Iranians are trying shut it down?
Funny you should mention that. The other day, I heard a reporter on the BBC questioning the " legality " of the killing.
Espionage, in general, is a anything goes sort of business.
