Anyone left who thinks the GOP and Dems are different parties? Anyone? Buehler?

When you have a rash of supposedly sane and conservative leaning people endorsing the most liberal candidate the GOP has EVER put up, perhaps it’s time to reevaluate the whole third party idea...and FAST.

In light of the current crop in congress and with the revelations of this primary season, eventually people are going to have to admit the GOP of today is the opposite of what many conservatives believe in.

I struggle with that and have flirted in the past with disengaging form politics altogether. On one hand I don't like govt, its mission, or politicians period, and am happy to lump them all together. But I always come back to the fact that one flavor seeks ever greater presence and power(which implies coercion or control), whilst the other not quite so much. And my choice is made in favor of the lesser evil.

It's also helpful for me to recall something said long ago:

"Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you." --Pericles, ca. 430 BCP
