The NH election laws apply to primary elections just as they do for general elections. This was all legal; that’s the problem. The laws need to be changed.
Actually, the “hero” of the Boston Herald story, the woman who knew the voter had died and who challenged the guy who came in and said his name, MIGHT have broken the law. I don’t know if the law allows the election judges to challenge a person they know isn’t a legitimate voter.
The laws are NOT designed to prevent illegitimate votes. That woman prevented (actually only thought she prevented) an illegitimate vote. She might be in trouble.
