Colorado-based Durango High School has now agreed to include the "revealing" photo of a high school senior in the yearbook after initially refusing to do so.
The school officials had earlier refused to publish the controversial photo of Sydney Spies, calling it inappropriate. The officials told Spies that she had violated the schools dress code by wearing a short yellow skirt and a black shawl as the top.

Chill, school. She’s just starting her career as a victim of abusive males and a substance abuser.

Sorry folks, but the picture should not be in the yearbook. If it looks like a slut...... Okay, I’m ready. You all take your shots.

One day, she is going to apply for a job, and the potential employer will Google her name.
This is what we call, “Not Thinking Things Through.”

Sydney continues to avoid being told no. Someday it will happen and someone will stick to their guns. I would like to be a fly on the wall that day.

This is probably not much worse than the skimpy prom dresses that are most likely pictured elsewhere in the yearbook.

I went to the site of that story and my anti-virus lit up like a pin ball machine.
As for the girl if she wants to look like a whore and her Mom approves of it, Print it.
Mom is probably a slut too.

Glad to see the school buckled under the unreasonable demands of a student and her mother. Unreasonable because I have no doubt both student and mother signed a student code of conduct that included proper attire.
And next year when some other girl wants her senior photos taken in her finest Frederick's of Hollywood because "this picture describes who I am. I'm an outgoing person and I really do think its artistic." the school will then cave as well?
Letting this student flagrantly violate the rules and then get her way is not the message schools should be sending if they want to prepare their students for adulthood, where there are rules that must be followed.

Someday it will happen and someone will stick to their guns. I would like to be a fly on the wall that day. She'll run away wailing and crying; they'll find her on the restroom floor, curled up in a fetal position, sucking her thumb.
And yes, I have seen a high school senior girl do exactly that.
Why?
Because her fellow students didn't elect her Prom Queen.
I kid you not.

She will be so proud to tell her kids someday that she alone turned her HS year book into a future soft pron publication! How inspiring. And, in the age of the internet, her pic and dim reputation should be around for a long time. She sure plans ahead doesn’t she.
