Girlie men — you nailed it. The men adopt a chatty, feminine persona (e.g., Harry Smith, who I’m convinced is a woman), which goes hand-in-hand with ultra-liberal, or else they act like 6th grade pre-pubescent gossipy boys (Stephanopolos).

NPR follows suit, where only the women have low voices, or they have a snarky, self-superior tone (e.g., Scott Simon), or the sing-song tones of the idiotic liberal-activist “science” guy, Ira Flatow.

Truth. I call it “National Faggotry Radio”. I have to change to a sports station usually in a matter of milliseconds - drives me up a wall. How do they *all* manage to sound that way? Disgusting.
