Well, what Romney did was perfectly legal, you say? So is the "insider trading" done by Congress on information they receive because of their positions. Positive law at best is only an approximation of natural law; at worst, it bears no relation to it.
I think the point Newt is grasping toward is more like Codevilla's conflict between the Ruling Class and the Country Class -- Mitt is just as much as Ruling Class type as Obama, with as little concern for personal freedom.
I don't understand why none of the Republican candidates have shared at all Ron Paul's views on personal freedom, which I think resonate with a lot of people, and should resonate with conservatives.
I think it's still legal to take over failing businesses and try to make them profitable. But I'll have to check with our masters in the federal government.
