One of the best ones I've seen, about 20 yrs. ago an elderly woman in her house near Allentown, PA heard a commotion outside her living room window, she reached for a rifle just as the the windows was being smashed in. She shouted out "I HAVE A GUN!" and started blasting away. In the police report it stated that officers noticed a "trail of human feces starting from the broken window leading into the woods behind the house."

Here’s another little known anectode that makes local gun controll advocates cringe. Back in the 90’s an abandoned vocational school campus was used by NYC to house some of their homeless. This was located in Chester, NY about 60 miles away. Sure enough there were a rash of break-ins, assaults, muggings, etc. In what could only be described as either shrewdness or abject cluelessness, one of the Chester town council members while addressing this problem to the local newspaper stated that he was “schocked and concerned” about the sudden increase in concealed carry permits being submitted to the Orange Cty Sherrif’s office. The crime rate in Chester plummetted overnight.

People are fed-up. If you wait for or depend on politicians to "fix" the problem for you, you will be either disappointed, mugged, killed, and eventually made helpless and enslaved. Even the die-hard liberals (those who may still have an ounce of self-preservation left in them) are buying now. People who have never owned guns are buying (which somewhat concerns me as well). Never buy a tool that you don't know how to use.).

I see the divide forming between the "Haves", and the "I want what the Have's have, I want it now, and I don't want to work for it)" crowd (can you say "Occupiers"?).
