"Tonight's results in New Hampshire show the race for 'conservative alternative' to Mitt Romney remains wide open. I skipped New Hampshire and aimed my campaign right at conservative South Carolina, where we've been campaigning hard and receiving an enthusiastic welcome. I believe being the only non-establishment outsider in the race, the proven fiscal and social conservative and proven job creator will win the day in South Carolina.
"South Carolina is the next stop. I have a head start here, and it's friendly territory for a Texas governor and veteran with solid outsider credentials, the nation's best record of job creation, and solid fiscal, social and Tea Party conservatism."
Thanks for the link. I need to go read up on soft vs. hard delegates, too.
Sheesh! Who made up that terminology? $100 says that it was a male. ;)
It’s far from over. It takes 1,144 delegates to clinch and that’s a lot. The primary season is loaded more on the back end than in the front end. A candidate would pretty much have to sweep every state for the first half to win and that hasn’t happened.
It’s not over by a long shot. People need to get some oxygen and breathe. :-)
This win was bought.
I was going to say. You were sounding like one of those Enzyte commercials. LOL!
OK, viable conservative.
Who???
Yes, but there appears to be a good propaganda machine at work tonight. Moonbats out in full force...lol.
Thanks, writer. I’ll check it out!
I just saw Hannity absolutely sandbag Perry in an interview. Hannity’s rudeness was inexcusable. “Are you actually saying Governor Romney wasn’t ethical? Why are you doing this? What do you think you can gain from this?” That sawed-off little blockheaded Romney lover. Then he went on to interview Tim Pawlenty, and the two of them gushed about this historic night for Romney, and what a miserable person Perry is. Fox News makes me sick.
I am getting sick of hearing that pointing out lousy business ethics means one is denigrating capitalism.
Hey, at least i didn't say 'pole-watching.' LOL!
When rounding down to the nearest point lands you at zero, it’s time to go back to Texas, seems to me.
I saw Hannity’s arrogance too when interveiwing Gov Perry, which Gov Perry did well. Fox News has jumped the shark. Poor little Romney got his feelings hurt today by Gingrich and Perry and needs Fox News and Radio to nurse him. /S
How does Perry have more delegates than Perry? I am seriously wondering.
You gave me a great idea for a satire with the whole, “premature pull-out” syndrome. And you get the credit for the concept. LOL!
I’ll ping you when its done.
A lot of us have stopped watching Faux News because of this kind of crap, and the Faux network for it’s liberal slant. They are in the bag for Romney and Fox is pushing the homosexual agenda. Rupert Murdoch is no friend of Conservatives.
Your ‘viable’ conservatives are doing a pretty good job of siphoning votes away from themselves.
Don’t blame Perry for it.
Will the chicanery every stop? No. :-)
Didn’t you see the Free Republic poll?
Perry beat Santorum.
Good luck, Governor Perry.
GET OUT NOW, Perry, and let those votes go to Santorum or Gingrich, preferably the latter.
I couldn’t believe the despair and wrist slitting on the results thread.
We should have known Mitt would win NH and that a few other kooks would vote Ron Paul.
It’s not the end of the world, people, we have southern, conservative states to go. In fact, we have 48 states to go.
Or, in Obama’s world 55 states to go.
I get really tired of people calling for Rick Perry to drop out.
South Carolina hasn’t voted yet, and Rick Perry is not responsible for Newt and Santorum not catching fire.
You’d think people would want a good conservative to stay in.
