Newt has jumped the shark. Everyone knows he is a big government Rep who believes that government can solve all of our problems. He thinks business should share their profits with their workers, not the investors and stockholders. Newt doesn’t like the idea that the “rich people” can do whatever they want with their profits and businesses. He wants them to share their gains out of a sense of social obligation and fairness. This is not much different than Obama’s spreading the wealth around comment to Joe the Plumber.

Business should share there profits with the workers. This is not capitalism. Wow what a concept. My business shares profits with the workers. Kinda the american way I think.

If Newt has jumped the shark, a fair number of Freepers are on the trip. 60% of those polled, in fact. Wow.

This is worse then when we settled for McCain in 2008. At least then there were already enough elections that it was clear we had no choice. Now we seem to be going willingly. In a race with 4 solid conservatives, to end up with Newt is like winning the booby prize.

If you can't see the obvious difference here..well....I am sorry for you.

Isn't that what corporate success sharing and stock matching programs do?

Those can co-exist with stock dividend payments, can't they?

I don’t think that is what he is saying. He seems to be saying that investors should not strip profits from a company and leave the company bankrupt, with no jobs for workers.
