As far as I can tell at this point in time, the person that no conservative wants to win the nomination is on his way to winning the nomination.
Newt isn’t doing himself any favors.
It’s one thing to defend yourself against attacks while remaining positive. It’s another thing to go on the attack, especially when you have a tendency to expose yourself as being a progressive.
From what I can see, Newt is in the process of imploding, because he let Romney get under his skin and failed to defend himself in an effecitve manner.
Now, don’t get mad at me pls, I don’t want to see any of our candidates implode or anything like that. What I want to see is them attack our communist president.
What we have now is a circular firing squad that is going to leave our candidates politically dead.

If I’m not mistaken, Newt tried that route before Iowa and was nuclear-bombed by Mitt.
Since you’re heartless, I guess your alternative is Rick Santorum.
Newt was/is my fallback guy and I haven’t listened to Rush yet (I think someone around here taped it) but I think it’s good that Rush bought this up.
Newt is volatile and someone needs to keep a lid on him a little bit. I think he went a little crazy when the impossible happened and it seemed that he had a real chance at winning this nomination, but then Romney destroyed him with negative ads and he fell way back.
I think he decided to go after Mitt with both barrels and forgot (as he does) to think through what he was saying.
Maybe Rush’s comments will get him back on track. I still prefer him to Mitt or Santorum (who was wearing his sweater AGAIN this morning. Could someone send him a suit?)
