I live in colorado Springs and the gazette is a complete piece of trash. they cant give it away and its slowly going out of business.
It's not like Tebow stepped into a situation where anyone could succeed. Orton, who is capable of moving a team up and down the field, couldn't make it work.
A healthy Elvis and the emergence of Von Miller have been vital to their success this year.
As mentioned, I am and have been for more than half a century, a Steeler fan. Back over 40 years ago, the Steelers got a young QB in the draft who by coincidence was a professed Christian, and also had a distinct Southern accent. He was big and strong, just like Tebow. Many local fans actually cheered when he got his collar bone broken on the field... (it's true... I was at that game and they were glad he got hurt.)
The national media called him stupid... too dumb to play QB in the NFL... even some Hollywood jerks jumped in on the bandwagon. And even beyond that, some of his fellow NFL players jumped in on the media driven bandwagon.
In the end, that stupid kid played for over 13 years, lead a team considered by many as the best in history, won four Super Bowl Rings, was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame, and now makes a couple million a year on television just talking about games.
Pretty good for a guy 'too stupid' to play quarterback! This attack on Teabow is nothing new. It happened over 40 years ago.
I hope it turns out just as well for Tim Tebow as it did for Terry Bradshaw. I hate these damn media-driven feeding frenzies where they attempt to destroy people just because they can.
I'll be rooting for Tim and the Broncos in New England this week. It will be tough, but you never know... maybe a second 'Immaculate Reception' is in the wings. .
