TransCanada Corp. has released a detailed job breakdown for the Keystone XL pipeline and said it will create 13,000 construction employment opportunities and 7,000 in manufacturing for Americans.
The company has provided the job breakdown in response to critics who argue that the company’s job creation estimates for the project are too high and will only lead to ‘a few hundred’ temporary jobs.

My father is a welding inspector and will be retiring in the next year or so. Work has not been good over the past year and he is hoping to get one good job done before he retires. This could be the one if SOMEONE could make a decision.

What is the consumption of oil in the USA? Twenty million barrels a day? The pipeline would carry 850,000 barrels a day and the construction would create thousands of jobs. So if we put our energy industry to work satisfying the majority of our energy requirements by producing our available resources there would a phenomenal employment and economical boom. Kick the environmentalist into the ditch, along with Obama, and watch us go.
