Todd is his own man, and for him to come out for Newt shows that he has the courage to support conservative candidates.

Rush just said that Newt called Rush to tell him that Todd was going to endorse him. then Rush went to Drudge and there it was.
What does that say about Sarah? This whole primary process has been fascinating. The 'conservative' pundits and so-called 'powerbrokers' are have been terrified to get out in front of their own audiences by endorsing someone. They're all holding back so that don't offend their own constituencies and diminish their own reputations with their audiences. This is business, pure and simple.
Were Sarah in any way inclined to endorse Newt, Todd would not have done this.
Obviously Sarah is strongly disinclined to support Newt in the primary, so Todd took rash action.
We know that Sarah will support the nominee.
