Many older voters still remember Newt from the 90’s and just don't care for his style of cozying up with the Dems.
Also, his adultery and 3 marriages are a big turn off for many folks. Especially coupled with the fact that he was getting Lewinskied at the same time as Bill Clinton and he was second in line to the Presidency.
If Santorum doesn't do well I believe that many Floridian conservatives will just go for the Anyone But Obama candidate.
Based on what I am hearing here in SW Florida, Newt will not be the winner on January 30th.
It is a shaky assumption if one of the not-Romneys dropped dropped out, that all their votes would go to the remaining not-Romneys and none to Romney. Romney would pick up a portion of the votes from anyone who dropped out, and as you point out, Newt and the others have some negatives that will prevent some voters from supporters them.
Better let this thing play out in SC and Florida and see how it looks then.
you are right...these that say if ricky would get out the way then newt would get all his support are laughable...newt got none of the cain people and if ricky drops then his support would go to perry or paul or accept the romney...
