Urgent - CO Dist 2 voters! Support Kevin Lundberg v Jared Polis! (Midnight tonight deadline!)

In a recent Time Magazine article Jared Polis listed Pat Schroeder as his political hero/inspiration. For anyone familiar with the Colorado political scene over the past few decades, that says much about my potential opponent. As for me, I pick Ronald Reagan as a contemporary hero, and George Washington as a historical inspiration.

Votesmart.org lists 92 votes that Rep. Polis cast on the House Floor in 2011. 80% of the votes were either no, or did not vote. Among his no votes for 2011, which I would have supported are:

• H.R. 2 - Repealing the Federal Health Care bill
• H.R. 2021 - Cory Gardner's bill providing timely processing of off-shore oil permits
• H.R. 471 - Creating school vouchers for D.C. Schools
• H.R. 1076 - Doug Lamborn's bill cutting off Federal funds for NPR
• H. amendment 95 - Prohibiting Federal funding for Planned Parenthood
• H.R. 1633 - Limiting regulation of farm dust
• H.R. 2560 - Cut, Cap and Balance Act of 2011

When I look at his voting record, it is following President Obama's agenda that continues to saddle our economy with job killing regulations, uncontrolled spending, and spiraling debt.

By 11:30 last night over 1500 people had joined our team. Many worked hard to help us reach that goal. And today our ranks continue to grow, with already over 1600!

Knowing you were all standing with me, this morning I announced my candidacy for the Second Congressional District.

Now the work begins in earnest. It will take us a few days to sort out the details, but we will get back to you as soon as we can with our action plan for the coming few weeks.
