“We all know that the passion and the Republican Party is in the tea party — the tea party just isn’t an important part of the Republican base, it is the base at this point. And there is no one on the stage … the fact is, someone has to find the voice of the tea party.”

Ok, moving beyond the obligatory anti-George Will comments, what is wrong with what he pointed out? Since the 2010 elections (and even during) didn’t the Republican establishment tell the tea-party folks to shut up and go home? And aren’t they doing as their elders said to?

When TEA hit with a vengeance,, the GOP gave us Scazzafva,, they supported Murkowski against a TEA repub. They cut Sarah off at the knees every chance they got. They worked against Rand Paul, and after he won treated him like crap. They supported Crist in Florida.
They made very sure to not let Bachmann into any leadership post. They minimized the role of DeMint.
They went out of their way to make sure nobody associated with TEA had any leadership role in the GOP.

Then they told TEA that we better support them because Obama is worse. The GOP is cynical and tells me at every turn that that they have a right to my vote, and feel no obligation to even pretend to earn it.

"What you have to have now is an argument against big-government conservatism"

The LAST thing we need right now is a public circular firing squad. The rhetoric must be directed against Obama and what his crew has done to the country. There'll be plenty of time to bring the public up the learning curve on the 10th Amendment if we win. If we lose, it won't matter that we had a nice "argument".

Nothing. There usually isn't. I think Pavlov came closest to explaining it.
