Ron Paul has said, over and over, that he’s not interested in being a third party candidate. He’s simply saying ‘never say never’ but the left keeps blowing that out of context.

What we’re seeing is nothing more than wishful thinking by the media/press in hoping a third party candidate will split the Republican ticket. I cannot fathom Paul doing it but hope springs eternal for the left.

Yep, I don’t think Ron Paul will run; if he does, say hello Pres. obama.

I’m getting the debate an hour later than the live thread, so I’ll post commentary here.

I swear Huntsman and Romney must have made a pact. When Huntsman says something stupid (and it’s not every time, but when he does ..), Romney capitalizes on it, and has some of his strongest points of the debates.

Gingrich thinks he can work with the other side if you have real leadership....explains how he did it when he was leader.

Romney does the same.

Ron Paul - Gregory reminds him he has sponsored over 600 bills (would this make Paul a frivolous bill sponsor?), but has only had one signed into law. He doesn’t answer the question.

Santorum - goes after Paul - people like him because of his economic plan, but he’s never accomplished anything. But Paul could accomplish his foreign policy plans starting on day one. Santorum does an excellent job taking Paul down on this one.

“...but the left keeps blowing that out of context.”

Seems to me it is more the panicked big-government-romney-supporting-establishment that keeps blowing that out of context, rather than the left.

What we are seeing is nothing more than unfounded fear by pretend-consrvatives who actually think Romney can defeat Obama in a head-to-head, but not with Paul as a third-party candidate. I agree with you that there is no possibilty Paul mounts a third-party campaign.
