Andrew Breitbart was giving post debate analysis with Steven Bannon tonight (Upstream) and he nailed it on Palin.

What we’re seeing with the GOP’s lack of spark is payback for what they did to Palin. After the Giffords shooting the only one to come to Palin’s help was Allan Dershawitz.
Right now, the GOP farm club system sucks because many don’t want to step into the buzz saw only to get left out in the cold by the GOP leadership.

If the GOP leadership would of stepped in to protect Palin (a huge asset to the conservative cause), some of this angst could of been mitigated.

Breitbart predicts that if Romney is the GOP pick and loses to Obama, there will be a slow coupe de tat by the conservative base against the establishment.

Sawyer and Stephanopolous were horrible and drove the debate instead of just asking the questions. When is the GOP gonna learn that in their own debates, they should get their own GOP friendly commentators.

Wow, that was a great interview, she nailed the guy.

She defintely likes Newt Gingrich, and Sanotrum and Perry and she does not want Romney to be the nomineee.

She knows he’s a liberal.

I don’t know if I agree with her here. If Romney can get the nomination his leftism could help neutralize the dem base. Just a thought, who knows. Given the media and the continual rise of the left I’m not sure Obama’s even close to beatable. Especially now the economy is miraculously “improving”. Anyone who thinks Obama is toast you better prepare for a shock.

The panel after the debate all agreed with this.
Nobody laid a hand on Mitt, and this most likely wrapped up it for him.

Just d*mn! What’s wrong with them?

Excellent. Which Las Vegas night clubs should I get a lap dance at next time I visit to help pay this helpful tycoon back? I believe I have a patriotic duty to fulfill here.

The Dems are absolutely salivating at the prospect of running against an aloof Wall Street multi-zillionaire (who will be said to have looted companies and outsourced American jobs overseas). It fits right into their age-old stereotype that they want the entire GOP to be defined as.

The fact that the GOP establishment is so eager and so willingly giving the Dems this solid-gold gift is a monumental testament to their idiocy. Or perhaps they genuinely just ‘want’ Obama to win. After experiencing the past three years (and their rotten treatment of Palin, the Tea Party, etc.), I’ve gotten to the point I truly have to consider such things.

I’ll differ on Breitbart on one item. It’s more than what they did to Palin, but what they did the base and to other up and comers to the political scene.

No part of the GOP clique? Tough cookies. Better luck next time.

“She knows he’s a liberal.”

So does the GOP elite. They only want to maintain the status quo and their incomes from inside the beltway.

Mitt’s “leftism” is going to split the GOP so wide apart we will virtually be two parties on our own. Mitt-ski is Obama without the backing of the Dems.

Don’t go wobbly on us, Todd. It’s been proven time and time again that in a general election, people will not vote for the “lite” version when there’s a candidate offering purity.

Everyone knows the dem/leftist base WORSHIPS Obama like no other candidate in history. If we don’t turn out our base to counterbalance them, we will lose no matter how many independents we get.

True conservatives win presidential elections.

Let’s remember Mitt is not running as a moderate. He’s claiming to be extremely conservative, even though he granted gay marriage licenses, instituted state mandated health care with taxpayer-funded abortions, appointed liberal judges, etc. It’s his flip-flopping, his insincerity, his untrustworthiness, his Dukakis/Kerry/Dole-like lack of emotion, his status as an out-of-touch born-into-wealth millionaire, and his off-brand religion which will hurt him in the general election.

no, because you can out liberal a democrat...they’ll simply out bid you.

I believe that Romney just doesn’t know what’s about to hit him if he gets the nod. If he thinks he can be mushy for the moderate vote like Bob Dole and John McCain he’s in for a shock. Dole and McCain both thought if they were just nice enough, civil enough and made friends with the press they could slide on by. Bzzzzzzzzz!!! Wrong oh buddy. The long knives will come out.

Yep. You're right, dear freeangel! Romeny is part of the protection racket for Beltway insiders, K Street lobbyists and corrupt fossil incumbents!
