Just talking about Newt with hubby- I told him that a lot of people have problems with him because of his past problems (adultery) and he said well David (in the Bible) had problems with adultery and God used him!

Yeah--kind of interesting to think of the VERY IMPERFECT people God has used mightily: Moses--a murderer; David (as you pointed out) an adulterer AND a murderer; Paul--very certainly--the cause of the imprisonment, and very likely the death--of early Christians.
Perfect? No!
But--used powerfully by God for His purposes--YES!
