MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Jacob Volkmann admits he’s trying to make a name for himself as a fighter. The problem is it’s getting him in trouble at his other job.
Following a fight last Friday, the 31-year old White Bear Lake man was being interviewed by Joe Rogan. Volkmann told Rogan that President Obama should call him to schedule a “glass-ectomy.” Rogan then asked what a “glass-ectomy” is.
“A glass-ectomy is when you cut your bellybutton out and put a piece of glass in there so when you have your head up your butt you can see where you’re going.” Volkmann said.
The White Bear Lake School District apparently was not amused. Volkmann, who’s an assistant wrestling coach for White Bear Lake, said the district put him on paid administrative leave.

His mistake was to make a joke instead of ramming someone with a shopping cart. That would have been constitutionally protected “free speech”.

Oh yes! The family is in his corner all the way. He is a smart, humble and dedicated young man. Won the MMA amateur championship last December in Las Vegas against Michael Johnson and now has a contract with UFC. He trains out of Orlando with the Gracie Barra gym. He was twice high school state wrestling champion in Oregon before he went pro.
Hope you watch his next fight in Omaha.

You confuse the United States with the Soviet Union. There is no need to have mass arrests and scattered gulags.
All that really needs to be done is strategic arrests, maybe with only a few people. If they can select the right kind of person with the right kind of evidence, they can successfully target the groups that they’re after. Media exposure does the rest.
This wrestler is a great example. He does what he does. He’s hung out to dry - maybe losing his job, maybe short-circuiting his career. He gets his 15 minutes of fame - and millions watch what happens to him. Anyone working in a school or an educational institution gets the message mighty quick about speaking out against Obama - not only in a crude way. It’s a reasonable inference that even polite speech against Obama will be dealt with in a harsh way. Hell, you don’t even have to shoot him or put him in jail. Just wreck his reputation and his career. That’s enough for most people.
In my opinion, that was one of the goals of the gang rape of Sarah Palin. It was a warning to anyone else that they better not tread the same path. And look at the group of seven dwarfs facing Obama right now from the other side.
Those in authority don’t care about our griping and lack of support. They just want us marginalized and compliant. Keep your guns, listen to Rush, pray like Tebow until the cows come up. Just don’t mention it at work or in public.
It’s almost as if America has finally found a way to have totalitarian government without any of the mess and fuss.
God help us.

You don't need the secret service or the military. Fear of losing your job, prosecution by local authorities for some B.S. harassment charge, or "inciting a riot", we still have a large and powerful federal law enforcement system, and enough local cops, and enough prisons, and the fear of losing ones job (and getting no benefits) that people will fall into line.
