Or it’s very very personal !
Agreed.
Which may turn out to be a huge miscalculation. Gingrich was going nowhere until Cain stumbled and he may already be in a death spiral. In any event, attacking Gingrich in NH is not going to mean anything in the SC and FL primaries. If Romney lets Santorum get traction heading into the South, it could be a whole different ball game (particularly if Perry has bowed out before SC).
No, it means Romney thinks Gingrich votes would be easier to claim for himself than Santorums. If he gets enough of those he beats Santorum & ends that threat.
It’s time for Gingrich to go Medieval on Romney with all that money he has in his war chest. Gingrich horded that money in Iowa. It’s time for Gingrich to go Postal.
>> He doesn’t see Santorum as a credible threat.
Honestly, I don’t either, this is Santorum’s 15 minute of fame, which I predict, will be quick to fade. It’ll come down to Gingrich vs. Romney and Romney seems to be pulling ahead. God knows he’s got the money to outlast everyone if he wants.
