Beautiful, Meg. Pansies always remind me of my mother. She had a green thumb, and she spent
a lot of time in the yard tending her garden lovingly, but only after the house was immaculate.
The birds outside were her pets, and she could walk right up to their nests without startling them
at all; they were that used to her. They used her hair in their nests because she brushed it outside
so that it would fall for them to find.
Her pansies were perfect each year. But I have to admit that our living in Southern California
probably didn't hurt either.
She passed away in 1969 just days before my 23rd birthday.

So pretty! I will have to show that picture to my wife. She loves pansies. We have about twenty of them on the deck, and the front porch. Very cheerful.
