Jerry Brown proposes deep cuts to schools if voters reject tax plan [ Yet he signed Dream Act! ]

Gov. Jerry Brown's 2012 budget calls for $4.8 billion in cuts to public schools if voters reject the tax increases he is trying to place on the November ballot.

The budget, which says the state faces a $9.2-billion deficit, was erroneously released online Thursday, several days before the governor was due to roll it out. His office was scrambling to arrange an early-afternoon news conference to discuss it. The Times obtained a copy of the document.

It paints a better fiscal picture than just a year ago, when the state faced a $26-billion deficit. Brown's budget anticipates closing the current gap through a combination of spending cuts and the tax increases, which would kick in at year's end, providing $4.4 billion in revenue.

Great, another excellent reason to vote against Brown’s tax hike initiative.

Commissions, committees, blue ribbon panels, consultants and every other focus group and board you can imagine...all paid for life, with non-ObamaCare healthcare, with CPI’s.

You need to invoke RICO statutes and frogmarch the politicians, union bosses and Moonbeam’s a$$ straight to San Quentin.

Other states all around the country are seriously addressing business and personal taxes, government spending, bloated payrolls, excessive pensions, business destroying regulations, welfare spending, and natural resource development such as on shore and offshore oil and gas extraction, all in the hopes of strengthening their economies and helping to create jobs for their citizens. Brown is trying to hang onto the massive socialist state we have become, protect state employee union priviledge, and continue the vote buying schemes of the democRAT party. Its not going to work. Other states are going to eat our lunch and the more productive citizens and businesses amongst us will continue to leave California. This place is a sinking ship.
