Great job by the boy!
Not such a great job by the 911 dispatcher, who IMO should be fired.
He (the 14 year old hero) continues: ‘I don’t know how many it was (who broke in). Just one came around the corner. I got one more in the chamber. I’m going to shoot again,’ the boy said.
‘Do not, while Im on the phone, do not fire that firearm, OK?’ the dispatcher says
‘What if another one comes in the house, ma’am?’ he asked.
‘Let me know, OK, if you see anybody. I will let you know (when a deputy gets to the house),’ the dispatcher responded.
The dispatcher needs to read some SCOTUS rulings.....for instance:

I’d have told that wench to try and stop me.
I thought the same thing until I read the transcript of the entire call.
The boy indicates that he may need to shoot again, but he doesn’t want to mistakenly shoot a police office who may be entering the home. So he tells the dispatcher, I need to know if he (the deputy) is coming in (so I don’t shoot him), because I will shoot again if there are more robbers coming in.
It seems the reason the dispatcher said not to shoot while he was on the phone with her was because that way she could tell him if he heard someone coming in if it was the deputy or not.
In the end, it was another amazing show of good judgment by the boy to try to protect LE officers while still wanting to shoot any additional intruders if need be.
Amen! They need to fire that dispatcher!
