He saw it as a 'charter of negative rights', things the government could not do. He was interested in forming a 'charter of positive rights' - things that 'governement was obligated to do'.
A huge red flag for those who were paying attention. There are just too damn many really, I mean really, dumb people in America.
It all boils down to willful ignorance from intellectual laziness and that's causing otherwise good people to lose their country.
It amazes me how ignorant people are about civics, govt and politics these days.
