It’s looking like Gingrich or Santorum.
Santorum has good positions but comes off kind of punky.

Don’t count Perry out yet. I’d take any of the three.

I want Perry, Gingrich and Santorum in that order.

I want ‘em all.

What we REALLY need to be worrying about is how to split up Paul’s base. He can’t go on forever.

Same for me hg. At this point, it's anybody but Romney or Paul for me.

If it turns out to be Romney or Paul, wow, FR will be very interesting for the following months.

I’m not counting Perry out, there’s a long way to go until November. I disagree with some of his immigration policies but I could vote for him very easily.

Its Newt, Santorum is currently peaking not because of anything he’s done, just that he’s the last guy at the dance. Newt is the A lister of the two, and with Santorum and Newt both in the race, the conservative vote will split, and neither will top Romney and Romney will be the nominee.

I would support either of them personally if they are the nominee, but I also do not believe Santorum will be able to carry a national campaign and will be evicerated quickly now that he has the spotlight.

I personally believe there are, and have only been 2 first tier candidates in this cycle on the republican side, Newt and Romney.. Romney is no conservative, but like it or not, he’s in the top teir, the only other one is Newt, everyone else is not at the same level politically or personally.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, but as long as there are 2 ‘non-romneys’ left, Romney will likely be the nominee. Taking him out was going to be a herculean task from the get go, but as long as the non-romney vote can be split it will be and that will allow romney the win for sure.

I agree with you... Things are so toxic within the TEA Party here in New York, I have refused to discuss the presidential contest. The Paulbots are like a cancer, they are everywhere.

I enthusiastically support any of those three (or any combination). Heck, I might even go along with the milquetoast Huntsman if it comes down to that.

I don’t want to be too negative but Perry showed real weakness on immigration. If immigration is not reversed, the national Republican party will go into permanent minority status like the Republicans of California. Immigrants simply do not vote Republican in large numbers. They never have and they never will. Native-born Americans need a party to defend our interests.

If amnesty were passed, this would by the last viable presidential election for Republicans.

I’m good with any of the three but just a small, minorish aside: Can they all say “nuclear”?
