Agreed. Free Republic has clout. Free Republic exposed Dan Rather in real time. They (Libs, Rinos and MEDIA) all closely follow Free Republic to access Conservative/ Tea Party interests.

I am and vote Republican because I am conservative first. Especially when Ronald Reagan was President, conservatives found a home in the GOP. If the GOP stops being conservative, then I won’t be Republican anymore. Ronald Reagan used to be a Democrat and he once said, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, they left me.” Is the GOP going to leave me and other conservatives?

BTW I break down my conservatism as thus:

45% Social/Moral conservative
35% National Defense Conservative
20% Fiscal Conservative

Of course, IMO, it is really hard to separate each, because they intertwine on many levels.
