The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. Winston Churchill

What does democracy have to do with free speech?

How many people yawned when Michael Savage (Weiner) was banned from Great Britain? The British government has left it to the imagination as to what this radio pundit has done or said that requires his prohibition from their beloved isle.

From what I remember of the episode, he is guilty of unspecific, inflammatory hate speech.

If I had to guess at the phrase it would be my reference (that’s a guess) to “Muslim [space inserted to avoid censorship] riots” in France several years ago.

Thought crimes - a major totalitarian tool...

The Europeans have become masters at burying their head in the sand. It’s the ultimate in ignorance.

I've noted that the MSM is in the process of changing the word "hate" to the word "bias", as in "bias crime" and "bias speech".

I dunno if that is better or worse.

When you read post-WWII, Cold War era novel, this sort of censorship sounds so far fetched and unlikely to occur. But when it actually happens it is like we are living in a fiction.
