How many historic figures are “trans-whatever”? Are we going to study the history of Chazz Bono on Dancing With The Stars?
And who else is historic? Ellen DeGeneres, Rosie O’Donnell, Harvey Milk, Village People, RuPaul, Rock Hudson, Billie Jean King, Elton John?
The school kids may well end up learning about people in the popular culture as part of history, assuming some serious attempt is made to measure some historic achievements of LGBT peoples. But then we could ask if learning about Rosie O’Donnell and her history is a good use of class time.

There were some soldiers in the Revolutionary War and Civil War and I think the war of 1812 who were women dressed as men so they could fight. If you could bring them forward in time to today I don’t think many of them would agree with the Agenda of the LGBT groups, but the leftists want to re-paint them that way.
