This is the teenager shot dead by police for brandishing a pellet gun in the hallway of his school - posing with a friend holding the 'weapon'.
Jaime Gonzalez, 15, was gunned down because he would not lower the gun which officers believed was a loaded pistol.
---
He said he heard police run down the hallway and yell 'put the gun down,' before several shots were fired.

I had to truncate that title to make it fit. It should read:

Looks like the real thing. How tragic for everyone involved.

What a cute couple. /sarc
What exactly is the point of the gun in the photo? And does it perhaps say something about the culture problem in America among certain ethnicities? "Here honey, let's take a nice picture of us. And hey, hold this gun." Sheesh!
Reeeeeeed Robin....yummmmm.

Looks like he had some kind of back problem. Maybe that drove him to it.

Both mother and grandmother said “he wasn’t perfect” but was a “very giving boy”.
The not perfect part gives pause.

Less perfect now with that hole in him.

Indeed, and that picture really does tell you all you need to know.

“Shortly before the confrontation, Jaime had walked into a classroom and punched a boy in the nose for no apparent reason, Rodriguez said.”
Sounds like he brought the gun to scool to intimidate others.

Both mother and grandmother said he wasnt perfect but was a very giving boy. He was very giving..He gave his classmate a punch in the face before he started with the gangsta with a pellet gun routine.

He looks like a wannabe gang member. I suspect an investigation will show this to be more of the same old Hispanic gang related violence.
If not an actual gang member, then at least a kid that wanted to grow up to be one.
To: BunnySlippers
SO the kid was 15 and in the 8th grade? That right there tells me the kid was an idiot.

He said he heard police run down the hallway and yell 'put the gun down,' before several shots were fired. Given the photo of the cop at the source webpage, I doubt that lack of bilingual officers was an issue here.

Both mother and grandmother said he wasnt perfect but was a very giving boy.Uh-huh. What did the father say?
Oh. Right. Who knows where (or who) the father is.
And the stupid girl in the picture is most likely going to make a few fatherless children herself.

My mom taught me to put my hands on the steering wheel if the police pull you over. They want to know where your hands are.
I was pulled over by the LAPD for not having a front license plate last year. I notice the policeman insisted on stand way behind the driver’s side window. It was uncomfortable to talk to him.
I’ll bet they stand there so it is difficult to turn around and attack or surprise them.
