Perry leaving "quirky" Iowa for South Carolina
Associated Press ^ | January 4, 2012 | CHRIS TOMLINSON

"This is quirky place and a quirky process to say the least," Perry said of Iowa and its caucuses. "We're going to go into places where they have actual primaries and there are going to be real Republicans voting."

" I wonder how “quirky” Iowa would have been if he had won. "

Yeah, those farmers in Iowa and around this country who grows the food that people eat.
Your right, if anyone but their candidate does not win in Iowa, Iowa is weird, " Quirky " ..... just wait until he need's those Iowans for their vote if he were the GOP nominee.

Only an Aggie would hold up a Number 1 sign after finishing second to last.

It is never smart to p*ss on the state you might need to help you get elected. Of course, Perry has about as much chance of winning the nomination as I have in winning tonight’s Powerball.

Wacky Iowacks don't know what's good!

It reminds me of a great cartoon showing a New Zealander introducing himself. I'll change the caption a little for the occasion:

"Hi, I'm from Iowa, and all I know is corn!"

Perry staying in is good for Romney. Mitt will win NH. Gingrich still winning in SC and FL. This will prove to drag out for quite a bit, possibly to Super Tuesday. Santorum is great got will not win another state. Watch Huntsman in NH.

Jon Huntsman said that Iowa picks corn, not candidates. I thought that was a disgusting comment from that third-rate, greasy pol. While Perry’s comment was not as offensive, it was clearly pretty stupid. Especially if he’s gonna need their vote in the general.

“You know what’s quirky? Perry, addressing Iowans last night reading a letter from a follower telling him what a great man he is.”

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yes - that was very uncomfortable, like someone with a profund inferiority complex.

Rick needs to cut his losses, and regroup for 2020.

I am left wondering whether Anita got a hold of Ricky’s phone and was the one who tweeted that he’s going to SC. She clearly has wanted it more than he did from the getgo.

I posted that very thought this morning and a couple of the Perrypals got a little irritated. Look at that picture. The man couldn't stop a pig in a ditch. He only looks marginally better in speedos than John F’in Kerry. Sad.

Considering that Perry finished FIFTH in Iowa (a state that he should have done well in), it should be pretty clear right now that his only plan is to draw away conservative votes from either Newt or Santorum, so that Romney can walk away with the nomination.

How disgusting.

I like Perry but I couldn’t believe it when he did that. I was waitng for a punch line or some clever twist but it was all about him.

“A nice guy, but just lucky to come in 5th.”

Good point - it was ONLY his money (i.e., cash from his crony capitalism here in Texas) that got him as far as he did. Otherwise he would have been neck and neck with Huntsman.
