You also got the Rome trip story wrong. Newt wasn't mad about sitting in the back of the plane he was mad about being forced to leave Air Force One from the rear exit onto the tarmac. It was the funeral flight for Yitzhak Rabin. Newt did complain about exiting the plane from the back and not down the main staircase with the President. He also complained that President Clinton ignored him and Bob Dole during the flight. It didn't take too long for the White House to release a photo of Clinton chit-chatting with the both of them.
