Good morning, everyone. After a long absence caused by a job during which we weren’t allowed to listen to the radio, I’m back and hope to be participating on the thread every day. I’ve really been out of touch and look forward to getting back up to speed.

I sent Rick Santorum $500 this morning and I liked it!
No I don’t listen to Katy Perry...

I walked down to the cafeteria for lunch a half hour ago, and CNN was broadcasting Michelle’s speech.
Two of the janitors (both young men), stopped pushing their buckets and mops and stood transfixed in front of the TV, asking, “Is she dropping out?” “Is Perry dropping out, too?”
Weird.

Could regular Americans be paying more attention to politics than ever?

Hi Clint! I did get laid off, but believe I can squeak by at least for a while with unemployment and my military retirement pay. Being unemployed is why I’m available to be on the thread, and I’m very glad to be done with that last job. It was grueling.
Did you have a nice Christmas?
To: Clint N. Suhks
Could be. It could also be that they were thinking “less competition for our beloved Obama.” But who knows.

Bachmann’s speech was amazing. I was so moved listening to her.
I’m on the fence about donating money...my track record has been .... less than stellar. Everyone I give money to either loses immediately or drops out the next day.

Thanks, IMPR! It’s great to be here. Very interesting to hear Rush say that Santorum won Iowa last night. I’d be glad if his campaign got traction as a result.
To: rightwingintelligentsia
Perry is still around. He tweeted some stupid picture of him jogging saying next leg of the marathon is on to South Carolina.

I’m kind of disappointed that Perry didn’t do better. He really is light years ahead of Romney, despite his flaws.
