I would add Michael Savage to the dishonor roll of coastal bigots following last night's shameful broadcast where he repeatedly referred to the "Caucasian Caucus" as a disgrace to our democracy.

Illiteration mascarading as wisdom is a Jacksonian ploy.

And I ain't talkin' Andy Jackson!

GOP strategist Roger Stone, who spearheaded the bungled bid to turn statist, pro-bailout, eminent-domain abuser Donald Trump into a Tea Party/GOP "Mr. Everyman" candidate, also jumped ugly. He railed against Iowans as a "bunch of hayseeds" who are "not representative of America today."

Roger Stone is an idiot. The voters in Iowa are not supposed to be representative of America. They are supposed to be representative of IOWA!

Roger Stone’s wife Ann was head of “Republicans for Choice”. Blackelk has other interesting factoids about the CT based Stones.

I have no problem with a midwestern farm state going first from time to time, but I don’t see the reason why Iowa “deserves” to go first every time. It’s silly, and it’s not fair in my opinion. Iowa’s recent record at picking the candidates is mixed, at best. It should be a rotating kind of system.

That was Roger Stone's first wife: Ann Bitsy Weschke Stone who, IIRC, was and is a bit pudgy herself while making a verrrry substantial living as a direct mail maven, farming the wrong kind of GOP snobbicans to send more money constantly so that Bitsy can insure the deaths of a maximum number of minority basbies in the womb, according to the original Margaret Sanger plan. Bitsy's biggest challenges in life include deciding which color of Mercedes sports car convertible to drive on any given day out of her stable of uber expensive vehicles.

Roger, formerly of tony Pound Ridge, New York, and New Canaan, Connecticut, has moved on from Bitsy to younger and trimmer spouse(s?) and to some definitely non-Iowan behavior like appearing nude on the internet with a subsequent wife on a "swingers'" website inviting strangers to contact them about the possibility of avoiding mere monogamy.

Roger is sooooo twentieth century and soooo over as a political power except that he has a verrrry old reputation that attracts money from the terminally unsophisticated wannabe politicos like Trump. Roger was once effectively the head of a very substantial consulting firm called Black, Manafort and Stone. And Tony "pooosh 'em up" Lazzeri once played second base for the New York Yankees alongside a rookie shortstop named Leo Durocher. Of course, that was also a few years ago, a few more years ago even than Roger's prime.

Roger has also been spoiled by the world class cuisines of the finest French and Spanish restaurants in DC, New York City, San Fransicko, Chicago and other elitist watering holes. No mere meat and potatoes cuisine for our Roger. Think spoiled and utterly jaded.

What has Roger accomplished lately in say the last twenty years????

“Iowans elect radical leftisits like Harkin.”

That is because they haven’t hit rock bottom yet; when they do, they’ll elect grown-ups to run their cities, as NYC and Jersey City did after thug rule ruined them.

>>>Iowa has consistently had among the highest (often the highest) literacy rates in the country.

Not any more. Iowa’s education system, like the rest of the nation, has been co-opted by liberalism and as long as a kid feels good that Heather has two mommies, the kid will get a diploma.
